Job Title:

PPM Warehouse Operations Technician

Job Summary:

This role involves responsible materials management, operating level position. The successful candidate will perform practical and safe storage methods and procedures, maintain computer-related inventory records, issue replacement spare parts, supplies, and materials, process purchase requisitions, receipts, shipments, and materials pre-staging, and deal with vendors and buying parts and materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the operation of the warehouse(s) and participate in receipt, storage, and issuance activities involving supplies, materials, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Maintain assigned areas of responsibility, such as self-service stores, lubricant storage, or gas cylinder areas, steel yard, or physically describable sections within the warehouse itself and ensure the proper physical stocking of items placed in each, the availability of adequate quantities, and the general orderliness and cleanliness of each area.
  • Maintain perpetual inventory controls both manually and using a computer terminal.
  • Purchase parts and materials and deal with vendors for a large division.
  • Maintain efficient reclamation program for the return to inventory of usable items.
  • Assist in maintaining control over scrap, obsolete, and surplus material items as required.
  • Update plant and property records as required.
Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma from an accredited school or its equivalent. Three (3) years of experience in warehousing in a similar working environment.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above. Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas. Must have full range of motion consistent with age. Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders. Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises. Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces. Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
