Business Service Assistant

The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking a highly skilled Business Service Assistant to join our team. As a Business Service Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the department's business operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to departmental staff, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and procurement processes.
- Support the development and implementation of business plans and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in business administration or a related field.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Employees of CalVet will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.
Special Requirements:Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.
