The Cleaning Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sanitation processes within the assigned facility, ensuring a clean and efficient environment. This role serves as a key point of contact between the client and the cleaning staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Ensure that client requests are effectively delegated to staff and completed promptly on a daily basis.
  • Supervise the cleaning personnel to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Assign tasks to team members and evaluate their work to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals while adhering to safety regulations such as OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Plan and organize work schedules for significant cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain inventory levels to guarantee sufficient cleaning supplies.
  • Distribute supplies and equipment to cleaning staff as needed.
  • Address and resolve complaints related to housekeeping services and equipment.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees to explain company policies and demonstrate proper cleaning techniques and equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in training seminars to enhance cleaning methods and supervisory skills.
  • Document work assignments, personnel actions, and time records, and prepare regular reports.
  • Engage in staff meetings with other department leaders to discuss policies, address client feedback, and recommend improvements for service efficiency.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
  • Understanding of telephone etiquette and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in smartphone usage and email communication.
  • Ability to develop operational procedures and foster effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a relevant field.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, or Creole.
  • A valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role requires good physical and mental health. The Cleaning Operations Supervisor must be capable of lifting, carrying, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling, and must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Continuous movement during work hours is necessary, with the ability to lift and/or carry weights ranging from 30 to 45 pounds.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

General supervision is provided by an account manager who offers guidance on complex issues and reviews work for quality assurance. The supervisor operates with a degree of independence, utilizing sound judgment in task execution.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

This position entails supervising housekeeping staff and floor technicians.
