CAD Technician

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team at Stantec. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality drawings and graphic work for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and Maintain Digital Files: Utilize Bentley Projectwise software to manage and maintain a digital file database for each project.
- Ensure Drawing Quality: Facilitate and ensure the quality of drawings and graphic work produced for the team.
- Communicate with Team Members: Collaborate with other team members during 3D model and plan production.
- Understand File Structures: Understand Projectwise file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members.
- Create Custom Templates: Create and understand custom templates using MicroStation software.
- Follow CAD Standards: Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance, and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production.
- Meet Project Timelines: Work to meet project timelines.
- Civil Roadway Experience: Experience with civil roadway, utility, or rail projects is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in either AutoCAD Civil 3D/REVIT or Microstation is preferred (Bentley training will be provided if required).
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team player approach to design and problem-solving.
- Teamwork: Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office: Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- High School Diploma: High School Diploma or GED.
- CAD Experience: 0-2 years of CAD experience.
This is a full-time position in a typical office environment, working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
