About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Radiographic Procedures: You will be responsible for performing a range of radiographic procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other imaging modalities, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the radiology department, including the equipment and supplies used in radiographic procedures.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: You will work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other radiologic technologists, to ensure that patients receive high-quality care.
  • Communicate with Patients: You will be responsible for communicating with patients to explain the procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance and support.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: You will be responsible for following established safety protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Document Patient Information: You will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information, including medical history, test results, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement: You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that the radiology department is providing high-quality care and services.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology: You must have a certificate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • New York State License: You must have a New York State license to practice diagnostic radiology.
  • ARRT Certification: You must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College Graduate: A college graduate with a degree in a related field is preferred.
