We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team at Little Legends Learning Center, Inc. in Champaign, IL.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide high-quality care and education to infants aged six weeks to fifteen months, working closely with our experienced teachers to create a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities- Provide daily care for infants, including feeding, changing, and soothing
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to promote healthy child development
- Work collaboratively with the head teacher and support staff to ensure a smooth and efficient daycare operation
- Identify and remove potential hazards from the environment to ensure the safety of our children
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the daycare, including toys and commonly touched surfaces
- 1+ years of experience working in a licensed daycare
- 3 written references
- CPR/first aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Food handler certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Gateways to Opportunity membership or willingness to join
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to submit to a physical
- Experience working with infants
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
This childcare position typically works Monday - Friday, with part-time hours available from 11:00 am - 5:45 pm.
