Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Therapist to join our team. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work closely with clients with developmental disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities, to provide behavioral consultation services. This is a full-time, salary position with benefits, requiring driving to visit clients at their homes or day programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral consultation services to clients with developmental disabilities through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver Program in Lake County, Indiana.
  • Meet with clients on a consistent basis to assess their needs and develop Behavior Support Plans.
  • Consult with and train caregivers or staff on behavior support plans.
  • Complete assessments, observations, and develop Behavior Support Plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide effective therapy and support to clients.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Special Education.
  • Pass all background checks required for this position.
  • 3 references.
  • Drug screening.
  • Negative TB and drug screening test.
  • Copies of resume, driver's license, diplomas, transcripts, licenses/certifications, and other supporting documentation.

Work Environment

This position is located primarily in Lake County with the home office being on the border of Crown Point/Schererville, Indiana. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will be able to adapt to new situations.
