Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at BreakThrough Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain their independence.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct and motivate patients to learn and improve functional activities, promoting a safe and supportive environment for optimal recovery.
  • Timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Observe patients during treatments, compiling and evaluating data on their responses to treatment and progress, and reporting orally or in writing to the Physical Therapist.
  • Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains them in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Confers with members of the physical therapy staff and other healthcare team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
  • Gives orientation to new Physical Therapist Assistants and directs and gives instructions to Physical Therapy Technicians.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, licensed or eligible and willing to obtain licensure in North Carolina.
  • One or more years of licensed outpatient orthopedic experience (preferred).
  • Desire to be part of a team that emphasizes a service-based culture of excellence and lifelong learning.
