We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at the University of Michigan. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking orders, and forecasting future needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking stock levels, order status, and product expiration dates.
  • Forecast future inventory needs based on clinic usage and established product levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate electronic stock replenishment when stock reaches designated reorder points.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between orders placed and inventory received.
  • Manage the loading dock and distribute incoming deliveries to the appropriate suites.
  • Stock vendor deliveries in designated areas/supply rooms.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 2-5 years of experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Proficient in Excel, inventory, and database software.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree.
  • Previous experience in Inventory Management within a medical facility/setting.
  • Knowledge of University Policies and Procedures.
