Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Teaching Professor or Assistant Teaching Professor of Practice in the Department of Engineering at Wake Forest University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory and advanced engineering classes, supporting project experiences for undergraduate students, and serving the department and university through student advising, mentoring, and faculty governance.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of engineering courses, including technical elective courses and capstone design projects
  • Support undergraduate students in project-based learning experiences
  • Participate in faculty governance and contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and assessment processes
  • Establish links with industrial and community partners to enhance the department's reputation and opportunities for students
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong background in teaching and research. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
