We are seeking a highly skilled EAF Furnace Operator to join our team at The Weir Group PLC. As a key member of our steel production team, you will be responsible for melting steel to create a molten bath and maintaining the furnace's refractory lining.

• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Manage and update pitch boards accurately, performing tapping on pitch as required to support operational needs.
• Collect, record, and manage data with precision, utilizing data to support operational decision-making and performance tracking.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to job responsibilities and company values, maintaining an excellent attendance record.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Actively participate in lean initiatives such as 6S, Visual Management, and Kaizen, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong reading, writing, computer, and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish) and experience in materials planning, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain management.
