Extrusion Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Machine – Extrusion Operator to maintain and operate Sheet Extrusion Equipment and Material Handling systems efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality sheet production while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

• Maintenance and Operation: Set up machines for color and size changes, cleaning, and other tasks to prepare for production.
• Quality Control: Inspect sheet quality using precise measuring tools and adjust machinery settings as necessary.
• Loading and Unloading: Load raw materials and unload finished products safely and efficiently.
• Equipment Monitoring: Regularly inspect and test equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and correct issues that may arise during shifts, minimizing disruptions to production.

• Experience: Proven experience as an Extrusion Operator (Sheet Extrusion experience a plus)
• Knowledge: Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Adaptability: Understanding of and willingness to follow and enforce production procedures
• Safety: Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
• Analytical Skills: Ability to read technical manuals and analyze data to improve processes
• Communication: Teamwork and communication skills essential for effective collaboration
• Physical Demands: Physical stamina and strength required for lifting and moving heavy equipment or materials
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus

As an Extrusion Operator at Elgen Staffing, you can expect a competitive salary range between $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the plastics manufacturing industry.
