Position Overview:

The Agricultural Commercial Loan Specialist is tasked with overseeing an established portfolio of Commercial Agriculture loans while also seeking to expand the lending business within this sector.

This role necessitates the ability to proficiently evaluate, structure, and finalize various types of Commercial Agriculture loans, adhering to the Bank's defined policies and protocols.

Sound judgment is essential throughout the loan approval process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers extensively, managing all operational facets of Commercial Agriculture loans in the designated market.
  • Stay informed and compliant with the Bank's lending policies, as well as relevant State and Federal regulations.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the regulations governing lending practices.
  • Foster innovation to promote continuous improvement and customer retention.
  • Process Commercial Agriculture loan transactions and assist with inquiries related to these transactions.
  • Analyze financial documents, including statements, cash flows, payment records, and tax returns.
  • Present loan applications for approval to the appropriate decision-makers.
  • Proactively seek new Commercial Agriculture loan clients for the Bank.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage workload.
  • Evaluate loan applications and make decisions in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements concerning safety, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Develop referral networks and identify alternative channels to cross-sell products and services, aligning with the Bank's objectives.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and an understanding of general business and financial matters.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and other bank personnel.
  • Assist team members as necessary.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Adhere to the Bank's core values and demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Participate in industry seminars and training as required.
  • Comply with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to BSA/AML, as well as the Bank's internal policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Ongoing education to maintain job knowledge is necessary.
  • Three to five years of banking experience is required.
  • Preferred: Three to five years of customer service experience.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
