As a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer at McKesson, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of health care technology. Our company is a Fortune 10 leader in the healthcare industry, delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable.

In this role, you will design, implement, and manage the security architecture for our cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud security, a deep understanding of cloud platforms, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.

We prioritize the following major components of cloud security:

  • Security Integration in SDLC:
    • We collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • We implement and manage security automation tools within the CI/CD pipeline.
    • We advise on secure configuration practices, including container security and cloud native authentication.
    • We automate security testing, monitoring, and reporting processes using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
    • We contribute to infrastructure as code (IaC) repos and support templating/blueprints for standard deployments.
    • We support integrations between security tooling and ServiceNow and/or Jira and CMDB tooling.
  • Vulnerability Management:
    • We monitor and analyze security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by various sources, including threat intelligence feeds.
    • We leverage scripting and automation to quickly analyze and operationalize security findings.
    • We work closely with development and operations teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
    • We evaluate emerging cloud threats to ensure the implementation of cutting-edge security measures.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • We ensure all development activities comply with our organization's security policies and standards, as well as other relevant cybersecurity frameworks and regulations.
    • We develop and maintain security documentation, including security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • We prepare detailed reports on security findings, incidents, and remediation efforts for stakeholders and leadership.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security, DevOps, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and tools, such as Terraform, Bicep, or Cloud Formation.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Python.
  • Experience with CSPM tools like Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Aqua Security, etc.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about security challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
