Patient Access Representative

About the Job: The Patient Services Representative will be responsible for receiving and/or dispatching incoming phone calls, collecting payments for copays and deductibles, making financial arrangements for patients, and performing check in and out duties accurately and timely. Additionally, they will make appointments for visits, verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and record the information in the medical record.
Responsibilities:

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have 1 year of clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. You should also have experience in cashier procedures and/or basic accounting, clinic check in/out procedures, basic health insurance, HMO, PPO, and basic medical terminology. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
