- Conduct maintenance and servicing of rail vehicles and facilities in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform various services on rail equipment including cleaning, fueling, and general upkeep.
- Manage waste disposal and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials in line with safety guidelines.
- Assist in shop maintenance and operate motorized equipment as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
- Handle tools and equipment responsibly, ensuring proper care and usage.

- Successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle report.

The following physical demands must be met to perform the essential functions of this position. This role may require significant physical effort.
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 75 pounds to a height of 36 inches over a distance of 10 feet.
- Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds to a height of 48 inches over a distance of 10 feet.
- Carry weights up to 16 pounds for distances up to 100 feet.
- Push or pull forces up to 25 pounds for up to eight minutes continuously.
- Grasp tools with a force of up to 40 pounds.
- Climb a 10-step ladder while carrying up to 25 pounds.
- Kneel, bend, and squat for extended periods.
- Stand and sit for prolonged durations.
- Walk on uneven surfaces for distances up to 1 mile.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Be available for a standard 40-hour work week, including potential overtime and shifts on weekends and holidays.
- Pass vision and color examinations as required.
- Ability to hear and distinguish sounds is necessary.
