Position OverviewChief of Radiology Services - Full-Time, Day Shift

The Chief of Radiology Services is a pivotal role within the healthcare organization, responsible for overseeing the Radiology Department's operations. This position entails the establishment and enforcement of departmental policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals. The Chief will lead and manage the staff, directing workflow to optimize service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Radiology Department.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Manage departmental budgets and fiscal responsibilities.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to improve departmental services and integrate care standards.
  • Oversee staff performance, including timekeeping and evaluations.
  • Facilitate supply management and strategic planning for the department.

Essential Skills: The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Independent decision-making skills are crucial, along with a commitment to accuracy in all responsibilities. Proficiency in personal computer applications is required, as well as effective communication with various stakeholders, including employees, physicians, and community members.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role includes oversight of the Radiology staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Completion of a JRCERT accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related health profession.
  • Minimum Experience: At least five years of experience in a hospital radiology setting, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Preferred Experience: Five years of management experience within a hospital environment.
  • Required Certifications: Current Arizona Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Certified Radiology Tech (CRT).

Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will possess AART certification and have substantial hands-on experience in Radiology, complemented by a minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership role, such as an imaging manager or director.
