As a Pediatric Nursing Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Delivering home-based care to pediatric patients recovering from illnesses, injuries, or chronic conditions
- Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals while supervising LPNs, CNAs, and aides
- Conducting patient assessments, documenting progress, and communicating changes to physicians
- Educating patients and families on care plans, medications, therapies, and safety measures
- Coordinating discharge processes and ensuring care goals are achieved
Essential qualifications for Pediatric Nursing Specialists include:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and possession of an active RN license
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Current CPR certification
- Understanding of home health regulations
