Travel Nurse RN Position in Progressive Care Unit

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit role. This exciting opportunity is available in Albany, New York, and offers a 13-week contract with 36 hours of work per week.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing patients who require close observation, but are not unstable enough to need ICU care.
- Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
PCU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds, and moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.
