CIBC is seeking a talented Risk Analytics Professional to support the development and implementation of risk management strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and implementing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and related Management Information Systems (MIS) to track and report KRIs.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, with 0-3 years of work history. Experience with application development or report development using visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or similar, is preferred.

The Risk Analytics Professional will work closely with the Senior Program Director, Risk Reporting and Innovation to design and implement new or modified risk reports, and analyze requirements for risk reporting to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Key Risk Indicator calculation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in continuous improvement and automation of metrics and related data capture and reporting mechanisms.
  • Document business needs and requirements for Key Risk Indicator and other risk reporting.
  • Analyze requirements for risk reporting to design and implement new or modified risk reports.
  • Analyze and recommend system and process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Key Risk Indicator calculation and reporting.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • 0-3 years of work history.
  • Experience with application development or report development using visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Continuous improvement and automation of existing processes using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
  • Development using Power Apps and Dataverse.
  • Programming skills, including Python, JavaScript, HTML, and XML.
  • Experience in the banking industry and in financial risk management.
