Pulmonary Critical Care Physician Opportunity in Norfolk, VA

Sentara Medical Group, a division of Sentara Health, is a renowned medical organization that seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join its esteemed team. This opportunity is available at Sentara Leigh Hospital, a 274-bed community hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.
About the Position:- This is an employed position with Sentara Medical Group, offering a stable and secure career path.
- The ideal candidate will work approximately 18 shifts per month, including both inpatient pulmonology and critical care duties.
- Day shifts are supplemented by night call from home, with in-house APP coverage and tele-ICU support available as needed.
- The option to participate in night tele-ICU coverage adds to the variety of this role.
- Average patients per day in outpatient pulmonology are 14, with opportunities to work up to 5-7 days per month.
- The ICU is a 20-bed open, high acuity medical unit with APP support available during both day and night shifts.
- Candidates may also have the opportunity to participate in teaching medical students.
- This shift-based model offers a starting salary of $475,000+ per year.
- An annual quality performance incentive of up to $30,000 is also available.
- Sign-on and commencement bonuses are additional incentives for joining the team.
- An annual CME allowance of $7,500 helps support ongoing education and professional development.
- A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans, with matching contributions from Sentara Health.
- 35 days annually are available for vacation, sick leave, or CME activities.
- The successful candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine.
