This is an entry-level opportunity, and no prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of intermodal units arriving and departing from the facility, verifying unit numbers and assessing any damage.
- Perform checks on intermodal chassis and maintain accurate records of inspections.
- Work both outdoors in varying weather conditions and indoors in a professional office setting.
- Travel throughout the yard to confirm the identification and status of parked units.
- Regularly conduct chassis checks, which may require extended periods outdoors.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety vests and hard hats while performing outdoor duties.
- Document any damages with photographs and complete necessary reporting paperwork.
- Maintain awareness of the surroundings to ensure safety around moving vehicles.
Work Environment:
This position involves a combination of outdoor and indoor work, requiring adaptability to various conditions. Safety is paramount, and all employees must adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
