Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Medicine Specialist to join our team at Concentra. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

About the Role

In this role, you will examine patients, compile medical data, and administer diagnostic tests. You will also interpret test results, perform therapeutic procedures, and instruct patients on prescribed regimens.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients and compile medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
  • Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related health field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program of an accredited university.
  • Board Certification.
  • Occupational Medicine experience preferred, but we are willing to train otherwise qualified candidates in this area of medicine.
  • FMCSA NRCME is required prior to start date - we provide this CME for colleagues not already certified.
  • DEA required prior to start date.
