Optometric Assistant

As a Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth), you will be the face of our patient care, dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient during our Telemed remote eye exam.

This role is responsible for personally taking patients through their entire Visionworks experience, ensuring their eye exam and eyewear needs are met in a simple, human, and bold way.

You will be trained and knowledgeable about eye health and preliminary testing, optics, our products/services, and managed vision care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Personally assisting remote eye exam processes
• Acting as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintaining complete and accurate patient records
• Introducing patients to OD and providing OD with important patient information
• Transitioning patients from doctor to sales floor and providing associates with necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Executing day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals
