Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct highly complex nerve conduction recordings and monitoring of neurophysiological phenomena using advanced techniques.
  • Provide advanced documentation to ensure comprehensive, timely, and accurate recording, accounting, and reporting of results.
  • Develop clinical findings and deliver high-quality procedures per guidelines established by the department to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and modify testing as needed.
  • Function as a team member, responding willingly and positively to colleagues' needs for assistance and partnership.
  • Train and mentor less experienced technologists, as appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate testing procedures by planning and organizing materials and supplies in the appropriate work areas prior to patient arrival.
  • Use advanced knowledge to determine necessary procedures and equipment based on physician instructions.
  • Recognize and eliminate causes of electrical interference and describe all abnormal clinical manifestations observed during tests.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations impacting department quality and safety targets.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate coding and charge capture and maintain equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Graduate of an accredited electro-neurodiagnostic technology program.
  • Three years of experience in a clinic and/or hospital setting performing varying levels of electrodiagnostic procedures.
  • Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (ABEM) or Registered Nerve Conduction Technologist (AAET) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
  • Competence in the use of computers and neurodiagnostic equipment.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced clinical environment with frequent exposure to patients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-oriented setting and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
