Job Title: Tax Supervisor

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Tax Supervisor to join our team. As a Tax Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for CHI and our local Market Based Organizations (MBOs)
  • Serve as a primary contact for tax issues raised by Tax Analysts, Senior Tax Analysts, National Office staff, and assigned MBOs
  • Supervise projects and tax returns as assigned by Tax Manager, and assist in coordinating the return preparation process
  • Maintain our tax return calendar, ensuring that new filing responsibilities are properly identified and recorded, and that all upcoming due dates are known
  • Oversee assigned tax-related projects, including ASC 740-10, tax planning activities, and tax research
  • Prepare returns as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred
  • CPA or attorney preferred
  • Past experience with Big 4 CPA firms strongly preferred
  • Minimum of four years experience in tax preparation and tax research required
  • Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
