Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified individuals to join our team as Adjunct Faculty members in the School of Education at West Virginia University. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various fields, including instructional design and technology, elementary and secondary teacher education, curriculum and instruction, literacy education, special education, early childhood education, educational psychology, and higher education.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in designated fields
  • Develop and implement curriculum for courses
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a master's or doctoral degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Social and Cultural Foundation of Education, Instructional Design and Technology, Educational Psychology, Higher Education, Literacy Education, or a closely related field. You must also have evidence of ability to teach effectively.

Individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses, while individuals with only a master's degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary on a per-course basis. While these positions are not anticipated to be benefits-eligible, individual positions may become benefits-eligible based on course load, which may vary depending on departmental need.
