Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of baked goods, including breads and pastries. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of baked goods, including breads and pastries, according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Review production sheets to understand the variety of baked goods to be produced daily.
  • Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.
  • Keep the Chef informed of excess food items for planning of daily specials.
  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.
  • Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout the shift.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
