We are currently in search of a Lead Linux Systems Architect to join our Linux Engineering Team.

The Linux Engineering Team is tasked with delivering a consistent, clean, and stable infrastructure that empowers trading desks, developers, and our internal clients to operate their applications as efficiently and predictably as possible. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with a global Linux Engineering team to coordinate tasks, engineering initiatives, modifications, and on-call schedules.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Linux Engineering team and various trading desks and departments.
  • Configuring, deploying, and maintaining DRW's Linux environments in a declarative and repeatable manner.
  • Monitoring the health of our entire Linux server ecosystem and performing daily troubleshooting.
  • Managing application packaging and software repository maintenance.
  • Automating repetitive system administration tasks.
  • Assessing and recommending new hardware and software technologies or solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience with configuration management tools, preferably Ansible or Puppet.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using one or more of the following: Bash, Python, or another high-level programming language.
  • Extensive experience in Linux support and engineering within a high-availability environment.
  • Strong expertise in RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental technical concepts such as Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, and networking.
  • Prior experience optimizing Linux systems for trading applications.
  • A comprehensive understanding of IP networking, routing, and multicast traffic.
