About the Job

The City of Bellevue is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Maintenance Aide 2 to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our parks and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, removing trash and recycling, and cleaning windows, walls, counters, and picnic tables.
  • Perform minor equipment and facility repairs, and respond to special cleaning requests as assigned.
  • May be required to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks and projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues and the public.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with preferred maintenance experience.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE's) as required.
  • Valid Washington driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals and equipment. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
