Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a configuration, compliance, and auditing framework to effectively oversee cloud accounts and resources.
  • Analyze cloud resources and identify cost drivers across compute, storage, networking, managed services, databases, and service licenses.
  • As part of our Managed Services, oversee rightsizing, elasticity, storage optimization, and identify underutilized resources.
  • Ensure the security and efficiency of cloud-based servers through patch management, backup/restore operations, server provisioning, firewall configuration, and monitoring system setup.
  • Administer account containerization and tagging for internal cost management and client billing, while monitoring cost allocations, security compliance, and budgets.
  • Utilize AWS Config to oversee and document resource configurations, establish compliance standards, assess risks, and rectify configuration discrepancies.
  • Employ AWS CloudTrail for compliance verification by logging and archiving actions taken within cloud accounts.
  • Implement controls to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Possess familiarity with AWS security best practices and hands-on experience in deploying security measures and compliance protocols using services like AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, and AWS Audit Manager.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, middleware software, and IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is advantageous.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Cloud Administration.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking devices, server operating systems, hardware, storage solutions, and security applications.
  • Proficient in system administration for both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of current protocols, operating systems, and industry standards.
  • Able to interpret and comprehend technical manuals and procedural documentation.
  • Experience in public cloud environments, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and processes in an ITIL-driven environment.
