Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Reading Professor to join our faculty at Pellissippi State Community College. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students.

About the Job

This full-time position will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in reading, including freshman English, composition, and literature. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in reading education or a related field, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach classes as assigned, using effective instructional methods and technologies.
• Supervise student learning activities and provide individualized support to students.
• Evaluate student progress and submit course grades and other administrative duties as required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners. A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential. Salary is approximately $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
