Aircraft Technician II Job Description

Job Summary:

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect and Repair Aircraft Systems: Perform thorough inspections of aircraft systems and structures to identify and repair any defects or malfunctions.
  2. Coordinate with Inspection Department: Work closely with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  3. Complete Paperwork and Documentation: Properly complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Store and Secure Customer Property: Ensure that all customer property and equipment are properly identified, stored, and secured.
  5. Operate Ground Support Equipment: Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment, such as external power carts, hydraulic mules, and tow tugs.
  6. Coordinate Aircraft Movement: Assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.
  7. Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to less experienced technicians as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Implement Lean Initiatives: Apply Lean and continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility to improve efficiency and productivity.
  2. Use Company-Provided Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment, and return items to designated storage areas after use.
  3. Comply with Safety Procedures: Comply with safety rules and procedures, and use protective equipment as required.
  4. Use Material Tracking System: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders.

Requirements:

Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
