About the Role
We are seeking highly qualified and experienced Health Education professionals to join our team as Scoring Specialists. As a Scoring Specialist, you will play a critical role in evaluating responses of teacher candidates in Massachusetts, ensuring the quality and integrity of our assessment programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate responses of teacher candidates in Massachusetts, ensuring that they meet the required standards and criteria.
- Successfully internalize training and scoring guides, participating in discussions and consensus scoring activities.
- Apply scoring guides according to rubric requirements, putting aside personal biases and maintaining a high level of objectivity.
- Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program.
- Engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Pass a qualifying test before scoring, demonstrating your expertise and understanding of the scoring process.
Working Conditions
Scoring sessions are typically one or two days long and take place during the week, Monday through Friday. Scoring sessions will occur once every 2 months, with a scoring day that runs from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m., including training.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher, and a current Massachusetts Health Education teaching license.
- Current or recent college-level teaching experience in Health Education, and be a current Massachusetts resident.
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse), ability to sit for extended periods of time, and ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
