Role Overview for the Automotive Body Repair Specialist

As an Automotive Body Repair Specialist at First Student, your primary responsibilities will include executing automotive body repairs, such as straightening bent frames, eliminating dents, and replacing damaged components. Key duties will encompass:

  • Conducting repairs on damaged sheet metal and bodywork, utilizing both hand and power tools for removal, replacement, or repair of body parts
  • Documenting all repair and maintenance activities on work orders
  • Ensuring the security and safety of vehicles while in the workshop
  • Providing written repair estimates upon request

Qualifications for the Body Shop Technician

  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Must have personal tools
  • Preferred certifications in Auto Body & Collision Damage repair
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an auto body repair environment
  • ASE credentials are preferred
  • Subject to DOT drug testing regulations
