Job Description:
As a Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for evaluating the physiological, neurological, psychopharmacological, and psychiatric status of clients, including referrals from age 5 years old. This involves prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medication, participating in diagnostic formulations and treatment plans, as well as weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.

You will also provide direct psychotherapy when indicated, participate in utilization review and quality management programs, coordinate relationships with hospitals, and offer general consultation to staff as required. Additionally, you will oversee and supervise Nurse Prescribers, ensuring seamless collaboration and high-quality patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A valid Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and practice management systems.
  • A commitment to delivering culturally competent care and promoting health equity.
