At Advocate Aurora Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate X-Ray Equipment with Precision: You will be responsible for operating state-of-the-art X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts as specified by physicians. This includes maneuvering portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery as required.
- Collaborate with Radiologists: You will assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic examinations and help them in acquiring critical diagnostic information.
- Provide Excellent Patient Care: You will prepare patients for exams, position them correctly, and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure. You will also adhere to isolation/sterile techniques and radiation safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Requirements:
- - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or related field
- Certificate or Associate Degree in Radiology Technology - Previous experience is highly desirable - - Good communication skills and basic understanding of R.I.S., and basic computer knowledge
- ARRT Registered or registry eligible IDNS Licensed Current CPR Certification
