Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department, you will provide family-centered care to children, assessing their needs quickly and prioritizing care based on severity of conditions. You will work closely with board-certified pediatric emergency room physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to deliver excellent care. Your commitment to compassionate, culturally competent care ensures the health and well-being of every patient in our community.

Responsibilities:
• Provide family-centered care
• Assess patients to identify their needs
• Work well under pressure
• Collaborate with pediatric emergency room physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists
• Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families
• Maintain hospital and unit specific competencies
• Coordinate transition of care for admitted patients

Requirements
• At least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
• PALS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NVCI certifications required within 6 months of hire
