Solar Photovoltaic Technician Job Description

EMI Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Solar Photovoltaic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our solar photovoltaic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent system failures and ensure smooth operation.
  • Corrective Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
  • System Installation: Assist in the installation of new solar photovoltaic systems, including wiring, mounting, and testing.
  • Thermal Imaging: Use thermal imaging technology to detect and diagnose system issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance schedules, and system performance data.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical background or formal electronic technician training preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in solar photovoltaic system maintenance and repair.
  • Skills: Strong electrical knowledge, experience with solar inverters, and proficiency in thermal imaging technology.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and spend long periods standing or walking.
