Job Details

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
Schedule Information
  • Shifts will be 12 hours long.
  • Flexibility is required for an every-other-weekend rotation.
  • Shifts & Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, 6-7. The manager will oversee the scheduling.
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
  • Holiday Requirements: Availability is expected if needed.
  • No call or standby requirements.
  • Orientation includes 1 week of classroom training followed by 2-3 shifts on the floor.
Unit Specific Information
  • Labor & Delivery Beds: 15 LDRP beds
  • Postpartum Beds: 15 LDRP beds
  • Patient Ratios: 1:3, 1:1 for laboring patients
  • Charge Nurse: Yes, with an assignment.
Additional Information
  • Common diagnoses include obstetrics, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, and high-risk pregnancies.
  • RNs are required to titrate drips, including Pitocin, Mag, and Procardia.
  • The unit has achieved Blue Distinction + status for patient care, reflecting high patient satisfaction.
  • Radius Rule: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
  • Request for time off must be submitted upfront (7 days or less per 13-week contract). Additional requests will not be approved.
