Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Catheterization Nurse to join our team at CGH Medical Center. As a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse, you will play a critical role in helping doctors perform cardiac catheterizations to diagnose and treat heart conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prepare patients for cardiac procedures, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
  • Assist doctors during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other cardiac procedures.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs and be prepared to intervene in case of an emergency.
  • Be proficient in all cardiac equipment used for catheterization and EKG interpretation.
  • Titrate IV medications and provide reassurance and insight to patients and their families.
  • Interact with patients and their families, relaying concerns and questions to physicians and informing them of changes in the patient's condition.
  • Maintain proper documentation in patient charts and ensure that supplies, including medications and emergency and IV supplies, are stocked and organized.
Requirements:
  • RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in the Cath Lab in the Facility.
  • Active AHA BLS, ACLS Certification required, TNCC preferred.
