Diesel Technician Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, working with a variety of diesel engines and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist customers with roadside services and learn preventative maintenance techniques
- Work on electrical diagnostics and repairs, air conditioning and heating diagnostics and repairs, and wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
- Learn to diagnose and repair air system, air brakes, and charging system issues
- Develop basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement skills
- Assist with parts lookup and acquisition
- Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in close quarters
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation
