About the Role

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Cross Function Control & Projects team as a Securities & Derivatives Senior Manager - Vice President, Hybrid. This role will play a critical part in driving transformation efforts for Cash Securities Operations, Fixed Income, and Equities securities settlements across various trading desks and depositories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Work closely with the Change Management team to review strategic opportunities for innovative solutions to help re-engineer processes, build scale, and mitigate risk.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify and work with stakeholders and key organizations to ensure program and project scope definition meets business objectives, build and maintain relationships with each.
  • Communication and Escalation: Communicate status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis, and escalate program risks to the Markets Ops transformation lead and other senior management as appropriate.
  • Process Optimization: Work with line SMEs to provide solutions to eliminate inefficiencies in daily tasks and processes.
  • Project Management: Provide support and coordination to work with the program and project management team to manage Cash Securities Book of Work.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Continue engagement and discourse with our business, technology, and operations partners, and provide leadership and guidance when reviewing business or industry initiatives and ensuring successful implementation, and sound controls are in place.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate an advanced level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Utilize strong communication, interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity.
Requirements
  • Education: BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience (5+ years of Securities Settlement Experience, preferred UST/MBS Settlements)
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a structured, high volume, time-sensitive, high-risk, and demanding environment, good analytical skills, positive attitude, energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive, strong risk management and control mindset, and self-reliant, good problem solver, results-oriented.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
