Autonomous Vehicle Security Specialist

About the Job: We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our team at Aurora Innovation. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology and make a meaningful contribution to the development of self-driving systems.
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the secure design and implementation of the technology developed by Aurora, including the Aurora Driver platform. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, develop and implement security protocols, and conduct technical security assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing secure design reviews and threat modeling to identify potential vulnerabilities and attack surfaces.
- Conducting security code reviews to ensure that source code changes meet strict security standards.
- Developing and implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent and respond to security incidents.
- Managing the vulnerability management process, including triage, prioritization, tracking, remediation, and validation of vulnerabilities.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure the secure development and deployment of software and hardware components.
- Providing security guidance and training to engineers and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a security-specific or security-adjacent industry.
- 2+ years of experience in the robotics or automotive industry or equivalent.
- Strong foundation in operating system security, cryptography, and threat modeling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) is a plus.
