Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Contract Carpets of Wausau Inc. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of orders, maintaining a well-organized warehouse, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare work orders and pickups for the day, including calculating exact yardage of materials.
  • Deliver orders to customers or other company warehouses with safety and care in mind.
  • Display and maintain all materials in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Maintain stock samples and dispose of materials as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance of the building and property.
  • Assist with general custodial responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Work Environment:

  • Work will be performed inside and outside of the warehouse and store.
  • Work may be performed off-site at customer locations.

Physical Demands:

  • Ergonomic factors: lifting and lowering heavy items, bending, reaching overhead, repetitive motions, pushing and pulling heavy loads.
  • Climbing ladders.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds without restrictions.

Travel Requirements:

  • Rare travel may be required to customers' homes or other store locations using a company vehicle.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Forklift certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field or work experience.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

  • Unrestricted driver's license.

Work Authorizations:

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
