Position Overview:
ROLE SUMMARY:

The Vascular Ultrasound Technician is accountable for conducting diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations, which encompass both general and vascular procedures for patients of all ages. This role necessitates collaboration with the healthcare team to guarantee safe and precise patient care delivery.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate of Science degree in radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, or a certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Eligibility for ARRT certification and registration in Vascular Ultrasound (RVT) is required.
  • ARDMS certification is preferred; BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Prior experience is advantageous, with a strong ability to adhere to protocols and demonstrate sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute ultrasound procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain precise documentation and effective communication with team members.
  • Provide mentorship to fellow technologists and uphold competencies.
  • Comply with established standards and complete required educational credits.
  • Participate in on-call duties and other assigned responsibilities.

  • Technologist Supervisor → Ultrasound Manager → Assistant Director of Radiology → Director of Radiology → VP of Imaging Services
