Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Surgical Trauma Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Medical Surgical Trauma Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop, and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policy and procedures.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to non-licensed staff as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting is preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred
