We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Administrative Coordinator. This role will be responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, and supervising of the overall operation of the Nursing Department for a designated shift.
Key Responsibilities- Run interference between departments and remove barriers to ensure smooth operations.
- Makes rounds on all units to gather real-time census information and expedite admissions and discharges.
- Facilitate inter-unit transfers and prioritize patient flow.
- Validates potential vs actual discharges and proactively opens holding units.
- Coordinates and oversees staffing needs, alerting other departments of future staffing needs.
- Maintains the patient tracking system and handles real-time patient throughput issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum three years acute care nursing experience required.
- One year of charge or relief charge nurse responsibility required.
- Registered Nurse with current NJ license and CPR certification required.
