Senior Financial Strategist, Google

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our growing team at Google. As the founding member of our Finance team and the sole operator initially, you will play a critical role in managing our financial planning, analysis and operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and driving our continued growth and success.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $159,000 - $225,000 + bonuses + benefits. Your total compensation package will be determined by your location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
About the Role- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, and track performance against them.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Build reports and visualizations to easily interpret financial data, and generate actionable insights from diverse data sets to build consensus among leadership and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and systems.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors.
- Drive accounting, controls and reporting efficiency improvements and automation opportunities.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
- Manage banking relationships and optimize cash management processes.
- Oversee all purchasing and invoicing processes including related procurement/billing systems and policies.
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing financial data and presentations for investors.
- Manage relationships with existing investors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Finance, with at least 2+ years in a startup environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with financial modeling and analysis, including proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with purchasing and invoicing.
- Proven track record leading financial close processes, governance and thought leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in building accounting & compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to influence across the company.
