Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Auditor to join our team in the Northeast Territory. As an Inventory Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting store-level assessments of physical security standards, operational inventory controls, and knowledge of various inventory reports. You will also train and perform knowledge transfer of store personnel as it relates to inventory management, inventory control, and physical inventory process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth operational assessments/audits of store performance and physical inventory operation compliance in accordance with American Freight policy and procedures.
  2. Compile detailed written reporting around assessment/audit findings, including the development and follow-up of action plans to correct identified deficiencies.
  3. Monitor and proactively address outliers related to controllable costs, profit, margin, operational processes, and compliance as measured through appropriate scorecards/reports.
  4. Provide recommendations for the implementation of policies and procedures, and creation or modification of systems to prevent and/or minimize loss attributable to inventory shrink.
  5. Lead training and knowledge transfer sessions aimed at improving inventory management skills across multiple stores in the assigned area.
  6. Develop relationships and support channels with all field leadership.
  7. Lead assigned territory in ensuring Physical Inventory Processes are executed to standards. Subject matter expert on Inventory instructions, post-inventory reconciliation, and inventory training.
  8. Educate and motivate store team members and field management in achieving shrink goals; as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent related experience can substitute for degree.
  • Minimum 3-5 years combined experience, including multi-unit management experience and experience in retail inventory process management.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement effective tactics which reduce merchandise loss (Shrink).
  • Advanced computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, prioritizing (time management), problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence activities and results of those who are not direct reports.
  • Must be willing to travel (Approx. 75%) and be flexible with working hours depending on business needs and deadlines.
